The Ephraim Utah Temple opened its doors to the public for the first time this September. Before its dedication in October, people of all faiths were able to tour the building during a public open house that ran September 2 through 19, 2026. This is a meaningful moment for Sanpete County. The San Diego California Temple opened its doors to the public in summer 2026 for the first time in more than thirty years. The public open house ran June 18 through July 11, 2026, and has now closed. The temple is being prepared for its rededication on Sunday, August 23, 2026, after which entrance returns to members of the Church holding a current temple recommend. The Willamette Valley Oregon Temple was dedicated on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Springfield, Oregon. President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, presided over the dedicatory session. It is the third operating temple in Oregon, joining the Portland Oregon Temple and the Medford Oregon Temple. The public open house ran April 23 through May 9, 2026, and has closed.
